Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is often called "the path of the body". It is a series of techniques aiming to train the body, mind, and spirit. Hatha Yoga is a forceful physical Yoga for people of all levels, from beginners to advanced. It can help us master all things in life, and give us a better understanding of our inner truth. Practicing several postures through balance and strength will guide us to learn to control our breath and restore our inner peace through meditation.
Gentle Yoga
This class is targeted for beginners new to Hatha Yoga, and those wanting to learn correct postures at a gentler pace. It is also a form of Yoga Therapy for those with injuries needing specific posture modifications. This style of Hatha Yoga is practiced in a warm room with emphasis on relaxation, mediation, breathing, and healing.
Hot Hatha Yoga
This is a series of Hatha Yoga postures practiced in a heated room with added humidity. Practicing in these elements will leave you feeling rejuvenated and cleansed from the inside out. As your body sweats, and as your skin absorbs the humidity, toxins are released. Moist heat is absorbed deeper into the joints than dry heat, helping relieve aches, pains, and stiffness. Whether you are interested in weight loss, mental clarity, or stress reduction, this is an overall great class for everyone.
Power Yoga
Power Yoga is a series of postures designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility. Each class is independently sequenced by your teacher, offering varied, fun, and dynamic classes that will keep you on your toes. It’s about challenging your limits, both mentally and physically, and learning to breathe through it. Power Yoga is so much more than a just a physical workout – that’s why it’s so addictive. Not only will Power Yoga help you achieve a beautiful body, but it will also help to develop a beautiful mind. It allows us to find peace and become a calmer, healthier, and happier person. Although our classes are challenging, they are also rewarding.
Vinyasa Yoga
This is basic Hatha Yoga taught through flowing movements while focusing and synchronizing the body to the breath. This is also known as Flow Yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath is a key component to this class because the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This is class offered in a warm environment as well as cool.
Yin YogaYin Yoga is a wonderful class to take following a Hatha class or all by itself for deep relaxation. Yin consists of mostly passive (sitting or laying) and restorative postures .These passive, restorative stretches are all done while on the floor and held for longer periods of time allowing the body to naturally unwind and connective tissue to gently release. This is offered in a warm environment to facilitate the release of connective tissues and to get a deeper stretch.
